Anne WEshinskey
is an artist and initiator working in a variety of mediums and contexts, most works take the form of performance, video, installation, or collaboration. however, I’ve been known to draw, sculpt, and play music if I must. I suppose I am mostly concerned with ideas of Incompletion, invisible labor, failure, diy, dealing with hard subjects with apparent humor, and channeling my rage by covering it up with pastel colors. my academic background is in ethnology, museum studies, and library science and I can’t stop myself from being fascinated by things i don’t understand, but have the impulse to categorize it anyway—which usually results in a mess. Yeah, I guess you could say my aesthetic is ‘bright and messy'‘
