SELF GUIDED RESIDENCY application

please read the following information before applying:

WHAT WE OFFER:

- Private living quarters with Queen-size futon, desk, patio, linens, etc.

- Private composting toilet and rainwater shower (heated)

- Private kitchenette

- WiFi

- Access to office supplies (printers, copy machine, writing implements)

- Access to the yard and vegetable garden

- Orientation to the neighborhood

- Guidance in starting your project in the region

- Connections to human and other resources (consultants, workers, fabricators, etc.)

- Extras (exact cost to be negotiated)

- Exhibition / performance / events

- Project Management

 

Costs:

$500 for 1 week stay

$800 for 2 weeks

$1,100 for 3 weeks

$1,500 for 1 month

Prices include water and Internet. A charge may be incurred for excess electricity usage.

Deadline:

Applications are accepted any time of the year.

 

resident’s responsibilities:

- Transportation to the QHHQ and throughout your stay (there is no public transport in the area, most amenities inaccessible by bicycle)

- Residency fee (we can help you find funding)

- Enough funds for your living expenses and production materials

While we do not provide funding for self-guided residencies, explore some of these lists for grant and award possibilities. In most instances we can provide and invitation or letter for your grant application if you are applying to finance your residency with us
