October 30, 31 Nov. 1, 7.8, 2020

As if 2020 wasn’t scary enough already, we continued our tradition (for the past 4 years) of mounting a Haunted House for the Between the Hills Community Center. This year’s incarnation was a COVID-safe drive-in. Each car full of visitors was treated to a personalized interactive experience involving sound, projections, and movement. We made some kids cry, a bunch of dogs bark, and a couple adults wet their pants!

Back To school portraits

September 7, 2023

Our friend, and frequent contributor to group activities at V4L, Mark Rogers, inspired us to solicit school portraits from among our friends and community members. We built the exhibition around Mark’s ridiculous posed school photos, and the senior portraits of local photographer, Skylar Reuschel. Lillian Hackett delighted everyone with her terrific voice and sweet stage presence!

october 29, 2023

A great group of creative people came together to scare the crap out of an audience mostly new to our shenanigans! Writers Emily Chiles and Adam Chiles read Edgar Allan Poe classics to improvised shadow images conjured up from the overhead projector by Anne and celebrated local artist, Joan Gardiner. Noah Chiles chilled with sonic ambiance, and Oscar Knicely became the heartbeat. Sets by Árni and Anne with work by artist Tony Mel.
